Threeco Construction Company, led by Olatunji Banjoko, is embroiled in a contentious land dispute in Erebe town, Ijebu Ogun State, as they allegedly utilize counterfeit court documents to assert ownership against the rightful landowners.
Several years ago, the Oloja Adekoya (OFIRIGIDI) Anikinaiya Family secured a court injunction, establishing them as the legitimate owners of Erebe town and its surrounding villages, extending to the Ketu-Epe axis of Lagos State. Despite this, a group claiming to be from the non-existent Sangokoya family, allegedly supported by Threeco, is causing unrest in the area.
Individuals identified as land grabbers, including Awokoya Yesufu Onirete, Oludaisi Mosuro, Olomu, Ashafa Olaitan, Oyebo Oriyomi Obateru, Segun Lawal, Folorusho Lamidi, Gbenga Adekoya, Najeem Fatai, Najeem Sikiru, Abayomi Adelaja, among others, are purportedly presenting themselves as Sangokoya family members and brandishing fraudulent court documents.
Residents report that these land grabbers, backed by Threeco, are intimidating locals, forcibly evicting them from their properties, and vandalizing incomplete buildings. Allegedly, they are coercing those with no structures on their lands to repurchase the properties. Disturbingly, these actions appear to be condoned by certain security agencies, contradicting the anti-land grabbing law enacted during the previous administration of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
Investigations reveal that the counterfeit Sangokoya family has engaged Threeco Construction Company as their official developer and land seller. Olatunji Banjoko, the Managing Director of Threeco Construction Company, is allegedly using police threats against Oloja Adekoya (OFIRIGIDI) and the Anikilaya Family, leading to the apprehension of some local chiefs.
As of press time, attempts to contact Threeco Construction Company’s Managing Director, Olatunji Banjoko, or any representatives have been unsuccessful.
