In a decisive move towards ensuring a smooth transition of power, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West chapter, convened a pivotal management meeting labelled as a “special edition.” The Coordinator, Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji ACArb, underscored the significance of the gathering, emphasizing the mandatory establishment of the Electoral Committee and Congress Planning Committee at least sixty days before the end of the current administration.
Addressing the assembled members, Guest Speaker Hon Princess (Aare) Folashade Oba emphasized the vital role of community service, urging youth to leverage their energy for meaningful contributions to community development. Hon Supervisory Councillor for Youth, Hon Okunade Delani echoed these sentiments, highlighting the pressing issue of insecurity in the community and urging youth to collaborate in providing actionable intelligence to restore peace.
Following a nominations process, the Congress Planning Committee (CPC) and Electoral Committee (Eleco) members were announced:
