The Nigerian Army is poised to convene its Chief of Army Staff First Quarter Conference 2024 at the Army Headquarters Command Officers’ Mess, Asokoro, Abuja, running from Monday, April 15 to Friday, April 19, 2024. This pivotal gathering will afford participants the opportunity to assess the Nigerian Army’s operations, training endeavors, and other activities undertaken in adherence to its constitutional obligations during the initial quarter of the year.
The conference serves as a platform for the Nigerian Army to chart projections for the Second Quarter of the year while undertaking a comprehensive review of Counter Terrorism, Counter Insurgency operations, and Internal Security operations nationwide, areas where the Nigerian Army has been deeply engaged.
According to a statement released by the Director of Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, in Abuja today, participants will also gain valuable insights into the strategic vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, for the Nigerian Army. Additionally, the conference will feature presentations on various aspects including NA Training, Operations, Administration, Logistics, and a detailed overview of events outlined in the 2024 Forecast of Events.
Crucially, the conference will provide a platform for high-level discussions aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Nigerian Army, with key decisions expected to be deliberated upon and implemented. Attendees will include Principal Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters, Corps, Formations, and Field Commanders, alongside Commandants of NA Schools and Tri-Service Institutions, as well as select NA Officers serving in critical deployments.
