The Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board is set to host a crucial sensitization talk on education at the Akesan Iperu Club 1954 Hall, Iperu, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, starting from 11am.
Themed “Education is a Key to Success,” the event marks the second in a series organized by the board, aimed at addressing the challenges facing education within the community.
Keynote Speaker for the event is Mr. Tutu BURAIMO, FCA, former Managing Director of CarnaudMetal Box Toyo Glass PLC., while the Guest Speaker is Professor Abayomi ARIGBABU, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Ogun State.
The Royal Father of the Day will be the Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), FIEX, FICMC. The Special Guest of Honour is expected to be Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government.
Chief Babajide OYETI, Chairman of the Iperu Development Association, and Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, Chairman of the Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, will also grace the occasion.
Established on November 24, 2023, the Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, an initiative of the Iperu Development Association, has been actively working towards transforming the educational landscape of Iperu. Previous initiatives include the maiden edition of the talkshow themed “Education As A Means To Eradicate Poverty” on December 13, 2023, and the induction training for Schools Liaison Teams on December 20, 2023.
As part of their action plans for the new year, the board has allocated a budget of #208,000,000.00 for various activities, including sensitization talks, infrastructural upgrades in schools, awards, scholarships, teacher retraining, provision of learning aids, school buses, uniforms, books, and bags for students, as well as conferences, lectures, and seminars.
The board is calling for the support of all sons and daughters of Iperu in achieving its set goals and aims to collaborate with national and international organizations and donor agencies. Contributions can be directed to the following accounts:
