Power is a fleeting entity, a temporary privilege that can vanish as swiftly as it is grasped. Like sand, it slips through our fingers, elusive and ephemeral. The tightest grip can not retain it, nor can the loosest hold preserve it. What we do with power in our hands matters, for it is a trust that must be wielded with care.
History teaches us that power is transitory, a brief moment in the annals of time. We either relinquish it willingly or it is taken from us. Our actions today become the records of tomorrow, testaments to our character and leadership. As humans, we are fallible, but with divine guidance, we can strive to do good with the power entrusted to us.
Let us recognize the impermanence of power and use it wisely, with empathy, justice, and compassion. In the end, it is not the duration of our power that matters but the impact we make during its brief tenure.
In the words of Abraham Lincoln, “With great power comes great responsibility.” May we exercise our power with humility and integrity, leaving a legacy that honours the trust placed in us.
