Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) in Oyo State partnered with Impact Business Radio Station (IBR) Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State in organizing Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training, which lasted for 3 weeks.
The Vocational Training was for 3 weeks which comprises of skill training in Graphic Design, Make-Up Artistry, Catering and Fashion Designing. The Entrepreneurship Training lasted for just 3 days. Among the participants of the Programme were secondary school leavers, youth and women.
The training programme came to an eventful end on September 1, 2022 with the passing out of the beneficiaries and award of certificate. We had 12 participants in total; Graphic Designer were 3 beneficiaries, Make-Up Artistry were 2, Catering were 4 and Fashion Designers were 3 beneficiaries.
The Programme was witnessed by the Chief Executive Officer of IBR Dcn Owolabi Oladejo, Head of Operation, IBR, Mr Hamilton and Chief Marketing Officer of IBR, Mr Bright. On the side of SMEDAN, the State Manager, Mrs Iyabo Ojogbede with 3 other staff; Mrs Juliah Fasola, Mr Senbadejo Olawale and Mr Olabode Awojulu also witnessed the closing ceremony.
The Chief Executive Officer of IBR was very impressed with the activities of the SMEDAN and the facilitators and the rate at wish the beneficiaries catch up in learning the skills. There were show casing of skills learnt by the beneficiaries. Cake from catering training beneficiary and Make-Up for some staff of IBR.
The motive was to be self employed and to encourage productivity. This programme might be a continuous exercise if the Impact Business Radio management deem it necessary. In all, it was a successful outing for SMEDAN again from the commendations showered on the Agency.
