Undoubtedly, Southwest Youths are on the path of self-destruction, and no one seems to be bothered.
25 youths have been gunned down in Sagamu in the past 48 hours due to cult clashes. We are losing our society. Drugs, gang violence, and Yahoo Yahoo are tearing the Southwest apart.
The problem is beyond what the parents or Imams or Pastors can handle anymore. The political leaders must really come in to help in the regulation of our society.
The pictures I am seeing from Sagamu is heart wrenching.
We have never had it this bad, and I keep wondering what happened to a town we knew each other’s family by heart while we were growing.
It’s getting beyond redemption, and if steps are not taken, the whole zone will be consumed in this violent and dangerous situation we are allowing to fester on.
We need to urgently convene a regional emergency meeting in the Southwest to discuss this issue.
The governments in the region can’t afford to fold their hands, and citizens need to be alert to their surroundings to stem this dangerous tide.
