Olasunkanmi Oduntan, Lagos –
There are many men in this clime who are financially endowed but with all their stinking riches and affluence, they never look in the way of the needy, indigent and underprivileged in their immediate environment and even beyond and charity they say begins at home.
This seems to be the guiding principle of Asiwaju ‘Lekan Saheed Oloko (ALSO) Foundation, who recently doled out cash rewards as palliatives to underprivileged in his base, Ogijo axis under Sagamu LGA of Ogun State.
Oloko, a grassroot politician, is the special assistant on youth engagement to the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel.
According to Oloko, the cash rewards to the underprivileged women who are petty traders in his vicinity is to boost businesses and be able to support their household, at least to keep their heads above water.
He, further, disclosed that the objective behind the setting up of the foundation is to give back to the society and empower the people by lifting the less privileged, orphans, vulnerable and widows who have little or no means of livelihood.
He also noted that, notable individuals in the community partnered with ALSO Foundation to give back to the needy in the vicinity.

Beneficiaries were drawn from across polling units in Ogijo ward of Sagamu LG.
The beneficiaries thanked the CEO of ALSO Foundation, Asiwaju Oloko and other donors for their kind gesture.
