The Chairman, Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), Major Adekoya Adesagba, (rtd) has commended the Ag. Zonal Commander, Ajegunle, Oyo Annex of the Agency, Olonade Eyitayo Oluyinka for his exemplary leadership and initiative in renovating the Agency’s office.
The renovated office, which was formally inaugurated on Tuesday, is expected to enhance the Agency’s operational efficiency and effectiveness in managing traffic and ensuring road safety in Oyo State.
Adekoya praised Oluyinka’s dedication to his duties, stating that his initiative demonstrates a strong passion for the job.
He urged other zonal commanders, unit commanders, and officers to emulate Oluyinka’s example.
“This renovated office is not just a physical structure; it represents our commitment to professionalism and efficiency,” Adekoya said.
“I charge all zonal commanders, unit commanders, and officers to work tirelessly to ensure quality service delivery to the people of Oyo State.”
Adekoya also acknowledged the support of Governor Seyi Makinde, saying that the Governor’s commitment to OYRTMA’ success is unparalleled.
He cited the recent recruitment of 500 new officers as evidence of the Governor’s dedication.
“We are grateful for Governor Makinde’s unwavering support,” Adekoya said. “His leadership has enabled us to strengthen our operations and better serve the people of Oyo State.”
In her remarks, the Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Atiba Oyo, Mrs. Omowunmi Balogun, praised the collaboration between OYRTMA and FRSC.
“Today’s inauguration marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to ensure safer roads and reduce traffic congestion in Oyo State,” Balogun said.
“We will continue to work together to achieve our shared objectives.”
Balogun commended the Oyo State Government for its laudable initiatives and assured that FRSC and OYRTMA would continue to collaborate.
In his goodwill message, the General Manager, OYRTMA, Commander Adeoye Ayoade, commended Governor Makinde for his leadership and vision.
“We appreciate his unwavering support to OYRTMA”, he said.
Ayoade also expressed gratitude to individuals and organizations that contributed financially and morally to the completion of the OYRTMA office at Oyo town.
Their selfless efforts have enhanced the agency’s operational efficiency, Ayoade noted.
Also present at the inauguration were Local Government chairman from Oyo West prince Hon. Akeem Salam, D P.O Oyo West, Alh. Dauda Igi Ogun, Directors of the Agency, among others.
