The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide has stated that the massive rehabilitation of the State House of Assembly Complex by the State Government was as a result of peaceful and purposeful collaboration for sustained development between the legislative and executive arms of government in the State.
Rt. Hon. Elemide noted that the 45 year old structure was now undergoing a major restructuring and rehabilitation to meet up with the standards obtained in other Houses of Assembly in the country.
He commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for making history by embarking on the rehabiltation and reconstruction of the Assembly Complex, adding that the reconstruction works would see to the commissioning of the Assembly clinic before the end of the year.
He added that the major renovation of the structure that was built in 1979, was meant to upgrade the old Complex into modern facility that would make legislative business more convenient for the State lawmakers, promising more synergy with the executive arm for the overall development of the State.
