In its avowed commitment at complementing the government’s effort on education, particularly in the public primary and secondary schools, the Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, has donated toilets to some public secondary schools at Iperu Remo.
The board yesterday commissioned and handed over that of Ajagbe High School to the school management.
Mr. Dotun SOKUNBI cut the tape to unveil the project, while Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, the board Chairman, presented the keys to the Principal, Mrs. Adeola OSIRIM.
The project, which is a need-based intervention to the school, is part of the outlined action plans of the board for the year, and it is a fallout of the board’s School Liaison Teams visit to the various schools which led to the compilation and collation of priority and urgent needs of the various public primary and secondary schools, as well as the Social Development Institute, Shasha, Iperu.
The event also witnessed the presentation of desks and benches to the school courtesy of the Iperu Development Association.
His Royal Highness, Oba Lukman Oluwadamilare Adebambo SALAMI (Sebu II), who represented the Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), presented the furniture items to the school.
Present at the event were the Onimeji of Imeji, His Royal Highness, Oba Kayode OLAYEBO OREMULE-SODA (Gbadewolu I), who was the Chairman of the Day; the Alaregun of Iregun, Oba Abraham Adedoyin OGUNFOWORA (Ewu Nla I); The Governor-elect, Lions Club, District 404 A-3, Nigeria; Lion Dr. Folasade SHOTOMIDE; President, Iperu Development Association, Chief Babajide OYETI; and a member of the board’s schools liaison teams, Ms. Bunmi ODUNSI.
The board shall move to Christ Apostolic Grammar School on 25th July 2024, and Akesan Community Grammar School, both in Iperu, to also make similar presentations at a later date.
