…as the board takes children on excursion to Lagos

The Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board has organized an event to celebrate Iperu Children on the occasion of the 2024 Children’s Day Celebration.
The event with the theme, “Protecting the Nigerian Child from the dangers of Online Technology” will be held at the Guaranty Trust Bank, Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, 27th May, 2024, and shall have as Speaker, a member of the board, Prince Gboyega AKINYEMI.
The excursion programme is organized by the board as part of its efforts at providing practical learning experience and exposure to the students which are integral to their academic and personal development.
During the trip, the students will be exposed to the metropolitan nature of Lagos as well as banking activities at the beautiful ambience of the Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, platinum branch of GTB.
According to a release from Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, Chairman of the board, eighteen carefully-selected students of the three public secondary schools in Iperu – Christ Apostolic Grammar School; Akesan Community Grammar School; and Ajagbe High School; from JSS 1 to SSS 3, both male and female, and who are exceptionally-brilliant, and have demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements, shall be going on excursion, and shall be accompanied by six teachers, three males and three females from the junior and senior secondary schools.
Necessary approvals from regulatory bodies were obtained, and adequate security and welfare arrangements have been put in place to make the trip, which promises to be informative, educative, and entertaining; a rewarding and a memorable experience.
