Ikosi-Isheri Ketu Magodo Annual Cultural Carnival 2024: Princess Samiat Bada Promises a Celebration of Unity and Local Talent

The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, also known as Madam Projects, announced today the upcoming Ikosi-Isheri Ketu Magodo Annual Cultural Carnival 2024 at a press conference held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Senator Bayo Osinowo Hall, Council Secretariat, Ikosi. Themed ‘Our Heritage, Our Pride: A Celebration of Culture and Unity,’ this year’s carnival will take place on October 26 and 27.
Princess Samiat emphasized that this year’s theme underscores the importance of community and shared identity, promising a vibrant celebration that will bring harmony and joy to all participants. The carnival will be graced by His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, along with other distinguished guests from Lagos and beyond.
The Ikosi-Isheri Ketu Magodo Annual Cultural Carnival has long been a testament to the rich cultural diversity of the region. With support from traditional rulers, partner organizations, stakeholders, and the media, the Mayoress is confident that this year’s event will set a new benchmark for cultural celebrations in the community.

Day One – Saturday, October 26, 2024
- Parade: Featuring various ethnic groups from the Council Secretariat to the CMD venue.
- Opening Ceremony: With remarks by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries.
- Guest Artistes: Qdot, Haruna Ishola Band, Kegites Group, State Troupe, Sangbeto, Igbo Troupe, Ola ljo, Ijebu Cultural Troupe, among others.
Day Two – Sunday, October 27, 2024
- Performances: By Malaika and his band, Ayo Maff, Candy Bleaks, and emerging artists.
- Additional Performances: By the Kegites.
- Raffle Draws: Opportunities to win exciting prizes.
