Hon. Owolabi Jamiu Falana, a permanent board member in the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), on Tuesday in Abuja delivered a keynote address at the ongoing National Conference on Teacher Professional Development.
Hon. OJ falana was opportuned to represent the Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hon. Wahab Alawiye King, who is also the Dean of all SUBEB Chairmen in Nigeria as the Keynote speaker at the conference.
In his keynote address, Falana commended the efforts of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) on the TPD program and also offered his thoughts on what could be done to improve on the initiative.
The Teacher Professional Development (TPD) has played a vital role in the strengthening of professionalism in our teachers in their deliverables across the country, he added.
Falana said, it is also important to note that TPD would greatly increase the transformational measures we desire to see in the basic education system.
