A pivotal Town Hall Meeting convened at the J.B. Yaya Secretariat Hall, chaired by Hon. Khadijat Kareem Omotayo, the Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, gathered stakeholders from across Zamfara State. The event, organized by the Office of the Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency Affairs, featured prominent figures including government officials and community leaders.
Among the distinguished guests were Saadaf Abdu Gusau, Project Coordinator of AGILE Zamfara; Mr. Godfrey Otika, Field Coordinator of SPH International; Chika Mu’azu, Councillor of the Gusau Emirate Council and District Head of Sabon Gari; Dr. Lawal Hussain, Permanent Secretary of Cabinet Affairs; Dr. Abubakar Mili, Secretary of the Executive Council; and Hon. Nasir Ibrahim, Commissioner for Project Implementation in Zamfara State.
The meeting addressed a spectrum of pressing issues affecting the state, encompassing the reversal of fuel subsidy removal, ongoing insecurity challenges, and the integration of traditional institutions into the constitutional framework. Discussions also centered on reforms in tertiary education, the reopening of borders for essential goods, bolstering security forces, and federal poverty alleviation efforts.
Hon. Khadijat Kareem Omotayo reiterated President Tinubu’s steadfast commitment to addressing grassroots concerns and emphasized the importance of community collaboration. Hon. Nasir Ibrahim underscored the necessity for federal support in key sectors such as security and infrastructure development.
