Katsina State recently hosted a pivotal stakeholder meeting led by Hon. Khadijat Kareem Omotayo, the Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency Affairs. The session, attended by Mallam Farouq Lawal, Acting Governor of Katsina State, and other key figures emphasized the alignment of state initiatives with the federal government’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration for socio-economic development, poverty reduction, and improved living standards in Katsina. Mallam Lawal reiterated the state’s dedication to this vision, highlighting ongoing infrastructure projects, job creation efforts, and security enhancements. He stressed that integrating these state-level projects with federal policies will amplify their impact.
Youth empowerment and job creation were central topics, with discussions on leveraging sectors such as agriculture, technology, and small businesses to address unemployment and foster innovation. Security was also a key focus, with stakeholders advocating for support of federal security measures and local peacebuilding efforts.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to monitor constituency projects and ensure their alignment with the “Renewed Hope” agenda. The Acting Governor pledged to provide regular updates on progress, reflecting a united effort to realize the President’s vision.
