The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede has mandated the arrest of two commission officers involved in the alleged assault of a female staff member at Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos.
The officers were seen in a viral video manhandling the hotel staff during an early morning sting operation. The operation resulted in the apprehension of several suspects who are currently undergoing profiling.
Mr. Olukoyede has called for a thorough investigation into the incident at the hotel. He has assured the public that appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken against any officers found guilty of misconduct.
In a statement issued by the anti-graft agency spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, Mr. Olukoyede reiterated the EFCC’s commitment to conducting its operations with professionalism and adherence to the rule of law.
