As Christians around the globe mark the celebration of Easter, Hon. Olayinka Rabiu (popularly known as Whytee), a chairmanship aspirant for Kosofe Local Government Council, has released a heartfelt Easter message emphasizing the enduring values of faith, reflection, and renewal.
In a statement made available to TND Online News, Hon. Rabiu described Easter as a season that transcends festivity, urging Nigerians to draw strength from the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of hope, sacrifice, and divine love.
“Easter reminds us that even in our darkest hours, light can emerge. It is a celebration of victory over despair and a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and love,” he stated.
Calling on citizens to reflect on the virtues Christ stood for—compassion, humility, forgiveness, and selfless service—Rabiu encouraged the public to uphold these values, especially in challenging times.
“In a world faced with deep divisions and uncertainty, this season calls us to be ambassadors of peace, unity, and reconciliation,” he added.
Hon. Rabiu also expressed optimism for a better and more just society, urging the public to channel the spirit of Easter into building communities anchored in equity and progress.
“Let the message of the empty tomb inspire us to see every setback as a setup for a greater comeback,” he said.
Concluding his message, he extended warm wishes to families across Kosofe and beyond, praying that the season brings renewed joy, faith, and divine blessings.
“Happy Easter to you all,” he said.
