…Sets to Celebrate First Anniversary

The Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board will, on Thursday, 19th September 2024, distribute learning aids to all primary and secondary school students, as well as those at the Social Development Institute, Iperu.
The event, which is scheduled to take place at Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu Remo, at 11 a.m., will feature the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Ogun State, Prof. Abayomi ARIGBABU, and the Accountant General of the Federation, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin MADEIN, as Special Guests of Honour. The Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke SOYOMBO, and the President of the Iperu Development Association, Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO, will be Guests of Honour.
The Lead Royal Father of the Day will be the Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness Alayeluwa Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), FIEX, FICMC.
According to the Chairman of the Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board, Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM, who also serves as the Chief Host, the distribution of 30,000 free exercise books to pupils and students is part of the board’s intervention programs to support learners in their educational pursuits. This effort aligns with the board’s mission to create a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous society, aiming to eradicate poverty in the community.
He highlighted other recent interventions by the board, including Free Student Enrolment into Primary Schools, Holiday Coaching for Primary School Pupils, Scholarships for Primary Six Pupils, and Back-to-School Support for Students.
Inaugurated by the Alaperu on 24th November 2023 under the leadership of education enthusiast JOSEPH, the board has grown significantly through its various laudable and people-oriented programs. These efforts have complemented government initiatives in the education sector, leading key stakeholders to recommend the board as a model for other Remo towns and communities.
The board is also planning to celebrate its first anniversary with an Anniversary and Special Awards Ceremony on 24th November 2024. The committee, led by Prince Gboyega AKINYEMI, is working diligently to ensure a well-organized event.
This information was included in the monthly report of activities for August 2024, released by the Chairman. The report indicates that fifteen deserving individuals have been selected as award recipients for the event, which will also be held at Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu Remo.
