Commander Corps of Signals Encourages Graduates of NAIS to Apply Course Knowledge, Commends Commandant

Today at Bala Mande Hall, Tego Barracks, Apapa, Lagos, Major General Gbemiga Adesina, the Commander Nigerian Army Signals, addressed the graduands of the first quarter courses 2024 at the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS). These graduates completed various courses including Operational Intelligence Commanders Course, Intelligence Analysis Officers Course, Security Investigation Officers Course, Security Investigation Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Advanced Intelligence Operative Course, and Intermediate Intelligence Operative Course.

Major General Adesina urged the graduating students to utilize the knowledge gained during their training to enhance Nigerian Army operational effectiveness wherever they serve. He emphasized the importance of aligning their actions with the COAS Command philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Army into a highly capable force to fulfill its constitutional duties within a joint environment.

Commending the Commandant of NAIS, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, and the school staff for their dedication to upgrading infrastructure and academic standards, General Adesina noted the school’s readiness to support the Nigerian Army in all operations.

Brigadier General Nwoko expressed gratitude to Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, for his support in repositioning the school to produce competent officers and soldiers. He highlighted NAIS’s commitment to training personnel capable of supporting the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps mandate effectively.

In addition to congratulating the graduates for their professionalism, Brigadier General Nwoko announced the introduction of compulsory courses in driving and computer education. He also highlighted enhancements in technical, artificial intelligence, surveillance, tracking, investigation, and forensic training to equip students with skills to tackle modern challenges.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduands and a group photograph. Notable attendees included Brigadier General AS Makaino, Commander Command Finance Office; Colonel AA Lawal, Commander DIA Annex Lagos; Lieutenant Colonel ET Ogunlade, Commander 81 MIB; Mr. Charles Okaga, Port Manager NPA Lagos Complex; Assistant Commander of the EFCC 1, Michael T. Wetkas; and representatives from DSS and FCID, among others.
