A member of Labour Party (LP), Hon. Oyebola Animashaun, has advised the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to take drastic measure on the issue of safety and security of lives and property in the State.
Oyebola who contested in the 2021 Councilorship election in Ward 10 Obada under Ewekoro LGA, but lost to the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) opined that, ‘every government has an obligation to the governed’.
In a statement signed by him, and made available to TNDOnlineNews.
He stated, “one of the primary responsibility of government is the security and safety of lives and property and this requires deliberate and urgent attention by the government, as people cannot sleep with their two eyes closed as a result of cult clashes and fulani herdsmen.
“Personally, I would want Governor Dapo Abiodun to beef up security in Obada-Oko axis. We all know that the area is under-developed, and there are many uncompleted and abandoned buildings here, so it will be easier for evil perpetrators to sneak and hide in the area.
“Also, the government should look into the increase of bike riders, as Ogun State is the closest location after been banned in Lagos State. The activities of the riders should be checked, and proper registration of riders should be effected.
Oyetola, further, advised eligible youths to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ready to enable them participate in the 2023 general elections.
