The All Progressives Congress National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel, has sent his congratulatory message to Dr. Olayemi Michael Cardoso as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) designate appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while awaiting his confirmation by the Senate.
In a statement issued by Dayo Israel in Abuja on Friday, charged the youths who have continued to benefit from the Presidency of Bola Tinubu to continue to be a good reference point for the teeming youth of the nation.
“I wish to extend my congratulatory message to Mrs. Emem Nnana Usoro, Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Dattijo, Mr. Philip Ikeazor, and Dr. Bala M. Bello as Deputy Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) designates waiting for Senate approval.
“On behalf of the progressive youths of Nigeria, kindly accept my warm wishes to Dr. Tope Fasua Special Adviser on Economy, Mrs. Atika Ajanah Social Event, Tanko Yakasai Community Engagement NE, Chioma Nweze SE, Abiodun Essiet NC, Moremi Ojudu SW, Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba NE, Fatimah Farouk Senior Special Assistant Office of the Minister of Women Affairs, and Yinusa Abiodun Muftau Special Assistant Agriculture, among others.”
He appreciates President Bola Tinubu for his leadership ability to revive the economy by appointing credible and experienced Nigerians to change the economy of the nation with the passion to pull her people out of poverty.
“This is yet another testament to our renewed hope promise to Nigerians, which has since been yielding positive impact. I acknowledge that proving track records have been the yardsticks for the appointees, and I admonish them to see this as an opportunity to serve Nigerians in making decisions for the betterment of our heterogeneous society.
“A nation endowed with abundant natural resources needs capable hands with great mindsets to champion and propel the country for prosperity and growth. It is important we give our best hands the wherewithal to hold critical positions without religion or ethnic coloration.
“Let me appeal to the appointees to see their appointments as a great challenge and an uphill task that is surmountable through commitment, dedication, perseverance, and continuous loyalty to the President and the party. Dayo concluded.
He commended the Progressive Governors of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kwara AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, Niger Muhammed Umaru Bago, and Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, among others, for appointing young people to drive essential ministries in the states.
He wished them a successful tenure as they assume office, while urging others to continue to be loyal to the government and the party, as he said the line is still moving.
