Sup. Evang. Kayode Ajala, M.P.I.C –
The turn out was impressive…The emotions were deep and genuine…The tributes were glowing and dropped like stars from the firmament…The Service of Songs for late Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Pekun Sobodu was an event like no other. From far and near…From C.C.C. W/w to the seat of the Lagos State Government at Alausa and beyond, dignitaries trooped into the C.M.D. Hall venue to show love and to pay their respects to an exceptional being who’d gone to join the saints.
It was the English author, George Elliot, that said, “Our dead are never dead to us until we have forgotten them.” Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Pekun Sobodu surely lives on, for we would never forget him.
– We would never forget him for being such a loving and devoted husband to his lovely wife, Comfort Oshoffa Sobodu.
– We would never forget him for being such a caring and dutiful father to his adorable children.
-We would never forget him for being such a loyal and trustworthy friend. A friend for all seasons.
-We would never forget him for his commitment and selfless role in the building the magnificient edifice of the C.C.C. International Headquarters Cathedral, Ketu, Lagos.
-We would never forget him for being such a resonating voice for what is right at all times.
-We would never forget him for being an unrelenting crusader of the truth.
-We would never forget him for his boldness, courage, outspoken nature, fearlessness and love of God.
Heaven has indeed gained an angel.
Even the angels sang…and danced…and sang…as we all gathered at the Service of Songs and burial of a great man.
Adieu PK…Till we meet to part no more…
