Comrade Asoro expressed his commitment to transformative leadership rooted in administrative competence, grassroots mobilization, and inclusive governance. Drawing from years of experience serving in various leadership capacities at both local and state levels, he affirmed his readiness to reinvigorate the Council’s Secretariat for greater efficiency and national relevance.
“My aspiration is inspired by a deep passion for youth development,” he stated. “If entrusted with this mandate, I pledge to uphold transparency, accountability, and excellence in service delivery, while working harmoniously with all stakeholders to advance the collective interests of Nigerian youths.”
Comrade Asoro emphasized the urgent need for a more united and impactful NYCN—one capable of representing the diverse voices of Nigerian youths. He also highlighted his longstanding involvement in national programmes and initiatives under the Council, which, he noted, have equipped him with the necessary skills to lead effectively at the national level.
He concluded his declaration with a unifying message:
“Together, we can build a stronger, more united, and more impactful National Youth Council of Nigeria. Build the Youth, Build the Nation!”
As the race for the NYCN Secretary-General intensifies, Comrade Asoro’s entry is expected to energize youth stakeholders and further stimulate discourse around leadership, representation, and the future of youth development in Nigeria.
